The past year DWC continued to make a difference in the Horry County Myrtle Beach area:
-
We hosted packing parties for the Myrtle Beach Period Project, providing menstrual products to those in need in our local communities
-
Supported local Democratic candidates through postcard writing and inviting candidates to speak at our meetings
-
Attended local No Kings rallies providing a water station for both peaceful protestors and local peace officers
-
Promoted literacy, inviting speakers from the Horry County Literacy Council
-
Hosted speakers from local food banks and collected donations of non perishables
-
Held our Women's Empowerment Tea with featured guest speakers
-
Sponsored our annual DWC high school senior scholarship awards to winning essays from local students
