About the Democratic Women's Council 2024 Essay/Video Scholarship Contest —

The Democratic Women’s Council of Horry County (DWCHC) sponsored an Essay/Video Contest with two $1,500 college scholarships for the winning essays or videos.

Graduating Horry County public school high school seniors were invited to apply.

The essay/video topic for 2024 was: How should Democrats respond to the media's influence on our Democracy?

Entries were reviewed by a panel of judges who applied the scoring rubrics to each submission.
